Construction of a unique cultural tourism town has recently been launched in Lanzhou New Area of Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province.

Xixi Town, a project with a total investment of 749 million yuan, will be completed by September 2019. It is expected to receive 300,000 tourists per year after being put into operation.

The town, which covers an area of 20.77 hectares, will feature special local culture, health care and preservation, and leisure and recreation services.

In recent years, the new area has attached great importance to development of cultural tourism and a number of relevant projects have been launched.
