Tunnel excavation for the first phase of Lanzhou Subway Line 1 was completed on Nov. 16, 2017, laying the foundation for track-laying, installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and other relevant work. The first phase project, with a total length of around 26 kilometers, is an east-west main route passing through the downtown area of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province.
