Xue Zang (Snow Funeral), a movie produced by Lanzhou-based Haofa Pictures, debuted at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, on Nov. 26.

The movie is scheduled to screen nationwide ahead of the Spring Festival, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up in 2018.

Adapted from the eponymous novel by Fan Wen, the movie reflects the transition in rural community during the reform and opening-up.

Haofa Pictures was the producer of The Missing Sheep, which won best feature film and best original play awards at the third Sino-American International TV Festival in Los Angeles in 2016.
