The justice departments of Gansu province and Lanzhou city hosted an event to raise awareness of law among the general public at Zhongshanqiao Square in Lanzhou, on Dec 4, the Constitution Day that has been celebrated in China since 2014.
Local legal workers performed poetry recitals for the audience. A micro film reflecting the lives of grassroots judicial officers in Lanzhou was played on the site. A constitution knowledge quiz was organized to enhance citizens’ understanding of the rule of law.
Some 600 legal workers took part in the event, handing out publicity materials and offering legal consulting services to nearly 100 attendants.
