Gansu Province received 235 million tourists from both home and abroad from January to November this year with the tourism revenue totaling 155.1 billion yuan, up by 25.3 percent and 29.3 percent year on year respectively, according to the Gansu Provincial Tourism and Development Committee on December 21.

The number of tourists in Gansu has surged since July of this year with the tourism revenue growing by 99.57 billion yuan. It is reported that the Belt and Road Initiative promoted tourism development in Gansu Province to a great extent.
