The city of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, will implement garbage classification, according to a conference held on March 5.

All the garbage classification organizations have been established at municipal, county and district levels, said Zhang Juntai, director of Environment Sanitation of Lanzhou Municipal Urban Management Committee. The implementation plan has been released, he said. Party and government offices, public places, schools, hospitals, hotels, parks, markets and communities in downtown area of Lanzhou will carry out the plan soon.

The recycling sites, parks and enterprises will also be enhanced to promote integrated development of garbage classification and resource recycling systems.
